Peel Includes Hulu & Netflix to Its Remote App to Stream TV Shows


The trendy TV remote control application Peel has recently introduced a recent variant of its for Android Smartphones. Making the app more interesting, Peel just added two different online streaming application, i.e. Hulu & Netflix. That definitely make Peel a mixture of streaming and Live TV. The company is planning to add more than 20 online streaming application to Peel as per the statement of CEO Thiru Arunachalam. From now on the TV remote control application will also include the content of Hulu as well as Netflix.



With 130 million registered users Peel is looking forward to take this popularity one step ahead by making its smoother, working with HTC and Samsung. Company’s main aim is to make sensor of application more accurate when it is interacting with a TV set. For several years Peel focused on the deck of live television and it has been successful that way. The remote control app also lets users to change channels of their TV Sets or cable box. Peel can also control other common living room devices from smartphone. The company has tuned into more than 6.6 billion TV shows as of now.

But credible companies are bringing rapid changes to the Online TV Streaming market and to be in this rat race, peel decided to do something unique by including two of the most popular streaming sites Hulu and Netflix. This mix of Live TV and streaming will now allow the users to watch previous episodes of show along with Live TV.

However, to make this process smooth Peel need more time as it just released a beta version of their new features. The addition of new features will also allow users to check movie trailers from YouTube. Another update of Peel suggests moviegoers what to watch, what is trending and all.

As of now, Peel can only launch one streaming app at a time, either Netflix or Hulu. That will allow users to watch application content directly in their TV set. In order to do that, Chromecast streaming adapter or any other adapter with same features is needed. But Peel is working on it to remove that streaming adapter step to achieve the goal of connection Peel’s app directly to the devices like Apple TV or Roku without any streaming adapter devices.

As every TV service provider has their own TV or device controlling app, they will also want users to use their own application the most. Which is why Peel is facing a tough completion to make the app flawless. But with aim of including top 20 online streaming application to peel’s app including Showbox, viewster and many others, things could turn around for the company. Showbox for PC is now also available for the users, as the company want to attract more exposure to the rising online streaming service.

Another interesting update that Peel made that from now on the application will give reminder to the users right before it starts and also be able to tell which viewers are accessing or watching the shows from where. That is indeed a astonishing update.
